Cable TV Show
The Common Ground cable show was introduced in June of 2006 to help disseminate the Department’s message of public safety and crime prevention, and to continue with its strong commitment to provide taxpayers with operational transparency. Sheriff Steven Tompkins, in his former role as the Chief of External Affairs and Communications, has hosted the program for the past seven years, bringing a vast array of elected officials, local organizations, neighborhood civic groups and community service agencies to the table and into the homes of Suffolk County Residents.
The Department strives each and every week to attract high quality and informative guests along with appealing topics that will keep the program interesting for the viewers that watch BNN Live TV.
