The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department joined in the festivities at the 249th running of the Bunker Hill Day Parade in Charlestown recently. A surefire early sign of summer, the parade is one of the longest-standing in the U.S., serving as a bridge between commemoration and celebration dating back to 1786.
