Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins and Superintendent/Chief of Staff Yolanda Smith welcomed Governor Charlie Baker, Secretary of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Tom Turco, and others for a tour of the P.E.A.C.E. and O.A.S.I.S. units at the House of Correction. Governor Baker spent time speaking with the mentors and mentees of the P.E.A.C.E. Unit about their transformative experiences in the unit and also spoke with the participants of the O.A.S.I.S. unit who talked about their recovery and how they have gained important tools to help them with their sobriety
