Members of the Summer Enrichment Program traveled to the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse for the second half of their day to sit with U.S. Marshal John Gibbons, who spoke to SEP interns about the role of the U.S. Marshals in the continuum of law enforcement and shared his personal story about his ascent to the position. The U.S. Marshals Service is the federal government’s primary agency for fugitive investigations. They are also responsible for protecting the federal judicial process.
