Happy Holidays, from our SCSD family to yours!
December 9th, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department joined @bostonpolice, @massstatepolice, and several local law enforcement agencies in the celebrated, annual “Shop With a Cop” at the South Bay Target.
Our officers and staff were paired with children from families in need to give back this holiday season. Each child received a $100 Target Gift Card, paid for by contributing local unions, to buy toys, clothes, and other goods with the help of an officer shopping companion.
SCSD is proud to be a source of support during the season of giving. Thank you to all of the community members who participated this year, and to the South Bay Target staff who make this tradition possible.
We are especially thankful for the House of Correction Union Local 419 and the Captains’ Union Local 3967, whose generous donations of $1,500 and $250 helped make a difference in children’s lives.
