BOSTON Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins has ordered an increase in snow removal assistance to the City of Boston through Mondays holiday. Starting today, seven Community Works Program (CWP) crews made up of 25 inmates will be deployed along with 36 cadets currently assigned to the Suffolk County Sheriffs Department Training Academy.

Boston As Suffolk County continues to dig out from record breaking snow storms, the Suffolk County Sheriffs Departments Community Works Program has kicked into high gear, deploying teams of inmate workers and Deputy Sheriffs to help remove tons of snow from handicap ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks and city streets.
