Necat: The Recipe for Transformation

From simmering ambitions to well-done morale, the recent New England Culinary Arts Training (NECAT) program graduates at the Suffolk County House of Correction prove that a little seasoning — and a lot of discipline — can turn lives around. At their recent capstone cooking competition, NECAT’s newest chefs showed off the skills and confidence they’ve cultivated over this 14-week course. On the menu: lamb & fig tartlets, warm roasted butternut squash, and cooked-to-perfection career-readiness with a dash of reinvigorated motivation.
