During the second half of the show, host Sheriff Steve Tompkins talks with Judie VanKooiman, producer of a local Winthrop Cable TV program called “Life Issues.” She explained how she became involved in the television industry and some of the struggles that she had to overcome throughout her life. They discussed the importance of volunteerism, helping one’s neighbors, and giving back to one’s community. Judie also gave an overview of what it is like to live in Winthrop and what living there has to offer.
