During the first half of the show, host Sheriff Steve Tompkins talks with Superintendent-In-Chief William Gross from the Boston Police Department. Chief Gross discussed his lengthy law enforcement history, which began as a Boston Police Cadet and continued with is enrollment in the Boston Police Department Academy in 1983 after which he became an officer. Sheriff Tompkins and Chief Gross spoke about the role and responsibility of a police officer and the BPD mission of community policing within the City of Boston.
