The Hand that Rocks the Cradle: Rise of the Female Offender
March 31, 2016The Massachusetts Sheriffs’ Association has produced an 8–minute video in collaboration with several local Sheriffs, which offers an overview of their active role in public safety over and above the state mandated responsibility of care, custody and control of inmates and detainees. From issues around the reintegration of inmates transitioning back into society, the need for more vocational and education programs, the benefits of additional regional lock–ups, and being pro–active in helping children to stay in school and out of jail, each Sheriff continues to be an active partner in the law enforcement community. The county sheriffs are connected with local law enforcement agencies throughout the cities and towns within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in supporting increased safety, making positive change and making a difference in their communities.
