The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department provided mutual aid along with the other law enforcement agencies staffing the 130th running of the @BostonMarathon. SCSD Lieutenant Jarrod Trovato oversaw the operation which utilized six teams of Department officers – three teams from both the Suffolk County Jail and Suffolk County House of Correction, which included two K-9 teams. In addition, SCSD Jail Officer Jessica Egan ran the Marathon for the @MichaelBurkeFoundation, and can be seen here being greeted by another SCSD member.
