On the second half of Common Ground, host Sheriff Tompkins is joined by Monica Cannon, Director of Promotions for the Peace Collaborative. She came on the cable show to introduce us to the Peace Collaborative and promote their upcoming Got Peace? Basketball Tournament. The organization was launched in October of 2013 and is a collaboration of various community based organizations that work together to mobilize Boston’s youth through events and programs. The Got Peace? Basketball Tournament is a unique, inter–generational sporting event which promotes healthy competition. The theme for this year is Alternatives to Violence. It takes place on March 14th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.
