Pamela Julian – Boston League of Women Voters & Cindy Diggs – Peace Boston

During the second half of the show, host Sheriff Steve Tompkins talks with Pamela Julian, President of the Boston League of Women Voters and Cindy Diggs, founder of Peace Boston. They came on the show to talk about their organizations, the importance of voting, issues surrounding violence and needs of local youth, and the need for additional services and programs. The League of Women Voters has fought since 1920 to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. A grassroots organization, the League’s enduring vitality and resonance comes from its unique decentralized structure that works at the local, state, and national levels. LWV Boston is committed to opening the doors of government to all of Boston’s citizens. Cindy Diggs has been active in the community for decades, working with various nonprofits to improve the physical and social health of Boston’s at-risk youth.
