On the second half of Common Ground, host Sheriff Steve Tompkins sits down with Massachusetts State Representative Russell Holmes, who represents the Sixth Suffolk District. This district includes the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan and Roslindale. Rep. Holmes talks about the revitalization of the commercial district around Mattapan Square, the reasons behind the Mattapan Economic Development Initiative and various other projects. He also discusses his previous civic engagements and how this led him down the road to where he is today.
