Sheriff Tompkins Attends Installation Service For Reverend Liz Walker At Roxbury Presbyterian Church

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently visited the Roxbury Presbyterian Church to attend the Service of Installation for Reverend Liz Walker. The service inaugurates Reverend Walker to the position of Designated Pastor at the Roxbury Presbyterian Church, where she has served as transitional leader since 2011.

Sheriff Tompkins Participates On Panel For Criminal Justice Reform

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently served as a panelist for a discussion on “Reform, Re–entry and Results: Change and Progress in the Massachusetts Criminal Justice System” at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. The event, which also featured remarks from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, was sponsored by MassINC, the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Reform Coalition and the Mass Bar Association.

Sheriff Tompkins, Department Bring Focus To Justice System In Directions For Corrections Forum

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department recently held a community forum focusing on the Department of Youth Services, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts Department of Probation and the Massachusetts Board of Parole at Roxbury Community College’s Media Arts Center.
