Sheriff Tompkins Lends Support To Boston’s Gun Buyback Program

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently visited Dr. Loesch Family Park in Dorchester to join Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, the Boston Police Department’s Commissioner William Evans and Superintendent In–Chief William Gross, and a host of clergy members, community activists and residents in support of the City of Boston’s new gun buyback program, “Your Piece for Peace.”

Sheriff Tompkins Visits NECAT’s “World Showcase”

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently visited the New England Center for Arts and Technology (NECAT) to attend their World Showcase. The event served as an opportunity for the culinary arts students to showcase their work by preparing food from various countries and cultures for members of the community. NECAT is a career–directed educational non–profit serving resource–limited adults and youth in Boston, which offers targeted job training for adults and arts programs for youth, to prepare both to obtain career–ladder jobs in expanding and emerging employment sectors.
